Below are photos of the column mock-ups that represent the base of each column used at the south end of the college football stadium in College Station, Texas.
The brick panels will eventually be 64” wide, extend to 120’ in the air, and terminate at the underneath side of Level 6. In addition, 6’-6” high spandrel panels will run horizontally at particular intervals to cover the horizontal steel beams that are exposed now.
Each will be fabricated with 6” tube steel and the brick panels will be pre-attached and fully grouted, thus allowing each column and spandrel panel to be lifted into place and welded to secure. Extremely structurally stable, our product is very light weight compared to the tilt concrete panels they have in place around the balance of the stadium and the costs are about 50% of what they have experienced thus far.
